Filippo Tommaso Emilio Marinetti (December 22, 1876 - December 2, 1944), the "tonic of Europe", was an Italian ideologue, poet, editor, and main founder of the futurist movement of the early 20th century. Born at Alexandria, Egypt. Founder of the first avant-garde movement: Futurism. Marinetti wrote the "Manifesto del Futurismo" in 1908. the year later it was published in the french newspaper Le Figaro. In early 1918 he founded the Partito Politico Futurista or Futurist Political Party
